JLDC runs many other classes that link in to All Star Cheer, Dance & Tumbling. These are open to EVERYONE and have dedicated sessions for beginners through to elite athletes. These are perfect if you are wanting to develop current skills and gain new skills throughout the season!


Cheer for Fun

This class is for complete beginners that would like to learn about the sport of cheerleading without the competitions. In this session, athletes learn tumbling, stunting, jumps and cheer dance. We also add routine choreography to give the athletes an insight to what a cheer routine is like and have the opportunity to perform at our polar preview and summer showcase event!

This is a fantastic stepping stone to build up your skills and knowledge before our tryouts we hold for our All Star Cheer teams which we hold every July. Or, just to keep fit and have fun!


Tumbling Academy

Tumbling is an incredibly important part of All Star Cheerleading and Dance which is why we recommend that all athletes supplement their weekly training with a semi-private tumble class.

Teams are generally set by tumble level and if you/your Athlete are keen to progress to the next level within Cheerleading, then working on tumbling consistently throughout the season is essential.

Our tumbling sessions are also open to recreational athletes who are brand new to tumbling/gymnastics, just want to improve on their tumbling skills or prepare themselves for competitive cheerleading by learning the correct progressions for each skill. Our sessions are structured in age and ability levels and all athletes must be able to perform all of the skills in that level with good form before they can progress to higher level skills. All sessions are taught in a fun environment and involve conditioning, drills, skills and flexibility work to develop strength and body awareness that will stay with you for life.

Beginner Tumbling – Handstand, forward roll, backward roll, cartwheel, round off, power hurdle, front walkover, back walkover.

Intro Back Handsprings & Back Handsprings– Front handspring, back handspring, round off back handspring series, standing back handspring.

Running & Standing Tucks – Round off Back Tuck, round off back handspring back tuck, standing back handspring series, ariels & standing tucks.

Layouts & Fulls – Layouts, whips, twisting, punch front to series.


Level Up Stunts

A brand new class and part of our elite athlete development program for season 9! There are two sessions available levels 2 & 3 and levels 4, 5 & 6! Here you will learn to level up your stunting ability in a fun, low pressure environment. This class is fantastic for competitive and recreational athletes who wish to up their skillset and develop themselves further to best prepare them for competitive cheer or higher level teams.


Kinder Kubz

This is a mixed interactive session for 2-4yr olds incorporating the basics for; Tumbling foundations, Hip Hop/Jazz Foundations, Body Awareness, Group Co-Operation & Confidence. Parents are encouraged to be in the class to watch or participate and have fun with their child! This is a perfect entry level class for those who want to have fun or are aspiring to join our Cublets team.


Strength & Conditioning

A brand new class and part of our elite athlete development program! This class is taught by an Elite level Crossfit Athlete and Personal trainer Brett Lilley. Here you will learn functional movements and increase your athleticism to the level that all star cheerleading requires of you. This class is specifically designed for competitive and recreational athletes who wish to increase their functional strength and conditioning levels to prepare their bodies for higher level skills.


Flight School

This class is a must for current and aspiring flyers at JLDC. In this session you will learn all the flyer body positions required within the sport of All Star Cheerleading. You will work on your stability, flexibility and strength in holding your positions in the air.


Contemporary/Lyrical Technique

This class is for those who wish to improve their overall dance skills within this style. Basic ballet fundamentals form the foundation for this class but athletes will also work on flexibility, range of movement, leaps, turns and acro skills.


Hip Hop Technique

This class is a for those who wish to improve their overall dance skills within the multiple styles of Hip Hop. Basic Hip Hop style fundamentals form the foundation for this class but athletes will also work on their ability to pick up choreography, building confidence in performing and having a good boogie. Fresh choreography each week will keep you on your toes but fun drills to improve your styles of Funk, Popping, Locking, Voguing, Waaking, Hard Hitting and Contemporary-Hip Hop Fusion will improve your versatility and overall strength as a dancer.


Tumbling Privates

We have a number of coaches who are able to offer specialist private tumbling sessions to athletes. These are also open to Non-JLDC Members.

All privates are booked in advance and are at the coaches discretion and have the right to select athletes if they wish. Some coaches will offer privates to athletes in groups of 2 or 3.


Dance Privates

We have a number of coaches who are able to offer private Dance sessions to athletes. These are also open to Non-JLDC Members.
