Ava Watch

My name is Ava Watch, AKA “Watchy” aged 12. I have been part of the JLDC Jaguars Team for approximately 4 months.

Before joining JLDC I was a gymnast at Fareham School of Gymnastics since I was 5 years old and gained my Gymnastics Level 3 Certificate.  I attended several competitions around the South Coast and made 6th place in the Southern Region Competition.

I have been fortunate enough to have been part of the JLDC Hip Hop Team, which I have absolutely loved, which we reached 2nd place at our first competition at the BCA Summer Showdown. Hip Hop and dance has become a great passion of mine.

I recently attended the BGU Junior Coaches Cheerleading Course in Essex with four of my fellow cheerleaders, which I thoroughly enjoyed.  I was overwhelmed to be asked to attend this by my Coach Jessie.  The course gave me a really good understanding of what being a junior cheerleading coach involves for someone in the 12 – 16 age category.

I have ambition to do something sport related when I leave school and would like to study something sports science related or possibly sports physiotherapist. I feel that what I have achieved in my 12 years so far gives me a great grounding for this in the future and would like to continue my dreams with JLDC for many years to come!
